The time was right for Stefano Roman to bring a taste of his Italian neighborhood to his new neighborhood here in Chicago. Born and raised in Italy, he now calls Chicago home. Stefano arrived in Chicago from Venice in 1999.
Owner and Chef, Stefano Roman, loves to cook and brings that passion to Pizza Rustica. "I'm sharing my style of Italian cooking. These recipes are based on what I grew up with in Italy and I believe my friends and neighbors here will love it."

Open in May of 2005, Pizza Rustica is a welcome addition to what has become a stretch of boutique restaurants along Sheridan Road.  More than just pizza, it has a menu on par with trattorias in Italy, all with a rustic twist that features authentic ingredients in a warm, inviting atmosphere. In addition to the unique and daring pizza with a layered, crunchy crust and unexpected topping combinations, the pasta menu offers seven fresh pasta choices and six homemade sauces, essentially creating an ever-changing menu with endless possibilities.  Whatever you do, don't overlook the nightly seasonal dinner specials which can include fantastic pasta specials as well as a variety of flavorful fish, delectible seafood, steaks, veal, ribs, and more on any given day.  Traditional Italian salads, hearty sandwiches, soups, and classic Italian desserts round out the menu. There is outdoor seating all summer.
